RJG/California Manufacturing Technology Partnership

The California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC) organization has secured funding from the California Employment Training Panel (ETP) to offset the cost of providing high-quality, customized training solutions to its clients. RJG is now an approved partner!

The CMTC organization is focused on acquiring state funding to offset the cost of in plant customized training programs.  The approval process is relatively simple and the funding can be significant. CMTC's team can walk you through the approval process.

RJG Technology Day
RJG is offering a free Tech Day on October 14th at the Polymer Center of Excellence in Charlotte, NC. This all day event will be taught by Rod Groleau and will offer information on controlling your injection molding process utilizing cavity pressure technology, strategies for implementing automated part containment, and the benefits of a comprehensive training program. This event will be a great networking opportunity that will provide valuable information for injection molders. FREE On-Line Assessment Testing
A good first step in deciding where to start with training is for you or your staff to take our on-line Assessment Test. We will then help to determine the best training strategy for you and your organization. If a company plans to test more than 4 individuals, please contact the RJG training department to arrange for company-wide scoring.

Sensor Solid Model Database
Customers can now import our sensors in a 3-D solid model for their tool design software. Simply select the desired model number and use the contents of the downloadable .zip file to add the sensors to your tool model. Poll of the Month

Puck Sensor
RJG is developing a fundamentally new approach to instrumenting large molds such as those used in the automotive and large appliance industries. This new cavity pressure sensor is called the Puck sensor because it resembles a hockey puck in size and shape and is used in conjunction with RJG's transfer pin and extended direct sensing techniques to allow sensors to be placed on the outside of the clamp plate. A key advantage is the ability to access the sensors without disassembling the mold. Large molds often have to be returned to the mold maker's shop for disassembly, which means downtime and labor costs far in excess of the cost of the sensor. The new Puck sensor approach allows for service and removal for calibration checks, even while the mold is in the press. Without One!
Released in 2007, the easy-to-use Lynx Sensor Tester has been incredibly popular! The tester informs users if a sensor is functioning correctly. The Sensor Tester can be attached directly to the sensor using a standard cable. Within seconds the user will know whether the sensor is within spec. The benefits include: the ability to check sensors while tools are assembled in order to catch mistakes early when they can be corrected cheaply, the prevention of tooling-damaged sensors being discovered on the shop floor, and elimination of down time. What's New in the Lab
