    Course Description

RJG’s Successful Strategies for Tool Transfers course focuses on helping companies deal with the very expensive and time/resource consuming task of transferring a tool. An assessment of the risk factors involved with tool transfers will be discussed as well as ways to leverage the risk to insure success. With today's economy it's detrimental that tool transfers be as efficient as possible, so that transferred molds are running quality parts as quickly as possible to maintain profitability. This course is intended for anyone involved in the task of transferring tools from machine to machine or plant to plant.

    • Three reasons for tool transfers
    • Three types of tool transfers
    • A strong look at risk levels during tool transfers
    • Evaluating molding machine capabilities
    • Guidelines for efficient tool transfers
    • How to produce the same parts out of the same mold, in different machines
    • How cavity pressure technology can establish and verify a process match and part quality
    • How to establish and document an optimized "machine independent" process
    • Develop a decision making process for internal/external tool transfers
    • Evaluating auxiliary equipment
